Classic Fit | Modern Fit | Slim Fit
All of our shirts are made with timeless, minimal style in mind. Each of our shirts fall into one of these fits, Classic being our best seller for 40 years!
loose and comfortable
Classic Fit
This is our signature fit -- classic & timeless. It's defined by the higher collar, the full cut sleeves, and the relaxed fit. Shirts in this fit are what set us apart and are instantly recognizable.
tailored and stylish
Modern Fit
Rather than an entirely different style, the fit is a modified version of the Classic -- just more structured. The Modern Fit is tailored to hug the upper body a bit more. It will be snugger on your arms and shoulders but still loose on your body. All of our Classic Fit shirts are also available in Modern Fit.
thin and slim
Slim Fit
This fit is tightest and reserved for specific styles. Our slim fit options are under layers and lightweight fabrics. You can find it in our super soft and thin undershirts, as well as our long sleeve thermals.
Artisan Garment Dyeing vs Piece Dyed
Each shirt is carefully crafted & finished in two different ways — Piece Dye & Garment Wash/Dye. Each of these dye methods will make your Goodwear shirt fit differently when you try them on for the first time.

Piece Dye Shirts
These shirts have not been garment washed. Piece Dye means the fabric has been dyed and finished before the garment is cut. You should expect 3%-8% shrinkage after the first wash at home.
Garment Dye Shirts
These shirts have been garment washed and dyed. Garment Dye means the finished shirt has been dyed after the garment was cut. Most of the shrink has been removed already. You should not expect any further shrinkage after the first wash.
