garment dye vs piece dye
All of our clothing is produced with one of two different dye processes:

Piece Dyed
The fabric itself is dyed prior to sewing the garment. The finished piece is a rich color, and the shirt will shrink to size after the first wash. Over time, the fabric will fade and break-in gradually, like a good pair of denim.
Garment Dyed
The finished piece of clothing is white, at which point our dye house washes and dyes the product. Garment dyed colors therefore have a "washed" or faded look to them, and are pre-shrunk to the correct dimensions.
How do I know which one I have?
Our garment dyed shirts will have an additional hang tag indicating the dye process.
