First made in 1988, this is the original heavyweight t-shirt, our signature piece.

Defined by a 1.25" cotton rib collar, full cut sleeves, and a relaxed fit. We knit with a tubular body for no uncomfortable side seams in our 8+ ounce 100% cotton jersey. The weight of the fabric is unlike anything else and evident as soon as you take it out of the package. Not just a shirt with superior comfort, but also with incredible durability, allowing the piece to wear in over time without falling apart. Don't just take it from us, many of our customers are still wearing their shirts 10, 20, even 30 years later.

The gold standard in American-made quality, this shirt will be the finest in your rotation.

*please note recent production of the color Oxford is slightly lighter in fabric weight due to current yarn availability of this blend.

8+ ounces per square yard (osy) fabric, knit with 100% US Cotton yarn. Oxford is 90% cotton 10% polyester. We always recommend drying on low.

Classic Fit - 1.25" cotton rib collar, full cut body and sleeves. First true to size. Colors garment dyed and fit true to size. White and Oxford will shrink to size after first wash. The Cobblestone and Acid Wash process creates a unique pattern on each piece, no two shirts are the same.

Love these shirts!

"I always look forward to wearing the couple pairs I own, the heavyweight material feels substantial and they age wonderfully. Sizing can sometimes be a bit tricky if you are between sizes as there is some variation between colors sometimes, but returns are seamless (like the sides of these shirts). Great item! Look forward to seeing new colors."

You have good t-shirts when

"You have good t-shirts when new, but if I wear the same shirt once a week, it is pretty worn out in a year. I usually wear Carhartt shirts at $20 each they last about a year, but they are much cheaper to replace. Also, the website for Dungarees, where I buy them, is not as confusing as your site. Your shirts a good, but they are in the upper price range which I cannot afford. Mike Caldwell"

👍 Make more 2XL’s please!!

"The 2XL’s for this and other Goodwear models are hardly ever in stock. One, two colors available at most. There’s a market for we husky fellows. Great shirts…but I’m looking elsewhere for this basic size."

"The black t-shirt faded immediately after the first wash, even when following the care instructions. The quality feels nice and durable, but I’d skip getting a black t-shirt from here."

"First time buying a heavyweight t-shirt, let alone a premium made in USA. Put that on and had a “oh now the price makes sense.” Will plan to buy multiple shirts."

"Took me a long time to find this brand/company, whatever you want to call it. You guys make great clothes. American made!!. High quality!! Honor the vets!! Buy Goodwear!!"

Fantastic!!

"Please make 2XL white with POCKET. I can not find this quality made like that in that size."

James A. (5/5)

"Great quality but ran far smaller than expected. Ordered a large, thinking itd be on the bigger side, but it wore like a medium at best. Im 6’3 190 lbs and would recommend xl for everyone in that range. I wouldve returned the shirt, but needed it for an outfit i had planned and decided to make do by stretching out the shirt as much as possible"

Jeff (4/5)

"Weird fitting shirt. Heavy materials, but the collar is like wearing a turtleneck it’s so tight and the rest of the construction is very constricting. I thought maybe I had it on backwards at first. Not worth the money at all."

"Quality is nice."
